About Social Justice Foundation

We empower the LGBTIQ+ communities & advocate for social inclusion.

Social Justice Foundation (SJF) was established in December 2022. Its establishment was based on a study by two researchers, Alex Muller, and Melanie Judge, who conducted a social exclusion study on the LGBTIQ+ community in Malawi from 2021 to 2022. The study identified context-specific of social exclusion based on sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and diversity of sex characteristics (SOGIESC). It established that social exclusion faced by the communities happens in societal, civil, political, cultural, religious, and economic spheres.
